Idaho Falls and it's surrounding areas are more than just home to it's 81,000 plus residents.  To some that pass by, it may seem like an average small town.  However, for those that take the time to stop, they soon realize that the "Gem State" is more than just a name.  

One of the first things to draw people to this area is the abundance of recreational outdoor activities.  Located only 90 minutes from the world famous Yellowstone National Park, one's journey literally begins in Idaho Falls.

Winter activities are abundant with down hill skiing, cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. There are also four major ski areas nearby including: Kelly Canyon, Grand Targhee, Jackson Hole, and Sun Valley.

In the summer months you can find yourself enjoying golf, hiking, white water rafting, mountain biking, camping, hunting, and world-class fishing.

With Idaho Falls historic downtown situated by the Snake River Green Belt, you will find yourself surrounded by an array of great little eateries in the midst of a vibrant cultural district.  During the warmer months there is a constant buzz of activity: with the Farmers Market every Saturday, Art in the Park along the Green Belt, the Duck Races, the Taste of Idaho, and of course the famous 4th of July fireworks display.

Idaho Falls is also known for having a strong local economy.  When adjusted for the cost of living, the average household income is over 110% of the median national average.  Its major employers that help the economy thrive include: Idaho National Laboratory, Melaleuca, Scientech, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, and Mountain View Hospital.

With its growing population, world-class recreational opportunities, booming economy, and thriving cultural ambiance, Idaho Falls is more than just a small town; it's a way of life!
