Bonneville County was established February 7, 1911. Settlement of the area began as early as the 1830’s when U.S. Army Captain B.L.E. Bonneville discovered the beautiful Snake River plains. This area eventually became known as Idaho Falls.

Bonneville County’s cities and towns include Idaho Falls, Ammon, Iona, Ucon, Ririe, Irwin, and Swan Valley. It has an estimated population is 92,948, and is projected to reach 101,209 by the year 2011.

Real estate has steadily increased over the last 5 years, which has made the area one of the most sought after locations in Idaho. Commercial and housing developments are popping up all over, providing many great job opportunities, and exciting changes for the community. This is an exciting time for Bonneville County because it’s quickly becoming a thriving metro area with many economic and entertainment options available.
